One Key admission rule is age as regulated by the National Department of Education. At Sekusile Primary School we admit learners from Grade R all the way up to Grade 7. For grade 1 from the age 6. We are looking forward to another fantastic school year of safe, engaging, and joyful in-person learning at Sekusile Primary School as well as building on the great success of our redesigned admission process featuring innovative ways to meet and engage with prospective families.

At Sekusile Primary School, our commitment to Academic Excellence is unwavering. Our school was established in 1992 by the department of education. The name Sekusile means ‘The morning has come’ which is symbolic to ‘the lost hope is now restored’. Sekusile Primary School is a public school where all learners are welcomed, valued, engaged and excited about learning. Through a supportive and inclusive educational environment, Sekusile Primary School aims at empowering learners to discover their passions, embrace challenges and unlock their full potentials, laying a strong foundation for a lifetime of achievement and fulfillment of becoming. We believe in the importance of essential content and skills over access information, preparing learners for the future. Academic mastery is crucial, but we also prioritize learner’s mindfulness and social-emotional learning. Our decision is guided by what is best for our learners addressing challenges with humility, focusing on results and maintaining high expectations for our school and learners.
